Dennis Hansberger
Dennis Hansberger was elected to the Third District of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors on November 5, 1996. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board from 1996 to 1998. He was sworn in for a second term as Supervisor in December of 2000. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board from 2000 to 2002.
Supervisor Hansberger won his re-election campaign in March and was sworn in for another four-year term in December of 2004, and he served as Chairman of the Board from 2003 to 2005.
From 1972 to 1980, he was also a member of the Board of Supervisors, and served as Chairman of the Board from 1975 to 1977.
Supervisor Hansberger represents the Board of Supervisors by actively serving on the following Boards and Commissions: Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District (MDAQMD), San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG), Inland Valley Development Agency (IVDA) and the San Bernardino International Airport Authority (SBIAA), Omnitrans, Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), Consolidated Fire Agencies of the East Valley (ConFire), and the Local Agency Formation Commission.
Born in Redlands, California, and a graduate of Redlands High School, he attended San Bernardino Valley College and the University of California at Riverside, majoring in Geology and Business Administration. He resides in Redlands with his wife, Karen Gaio (pronounced Guy-o) Hansberger, a physician in private practice in Loma Linda.
