Patrick J. Morris
Patrick J. Morris was elected Mayor of San Bernardino on February 7, 2006, and was sworn in on March 6, 2006.
Mayor Morris grew up in Needles, California, the son of a Santa Fe railroad conductor and a high school principal’s secretary. He and his family have resided in San Bernardino for over 40 years. He is a graduate of the University of Redlands, cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and Stanford University School of Law. Following duty in the Army Reserve, Patrick Morris returned to San Bernardino, serving as a Deputy District Attorney for three years and managing a civil litigation law firm in San Bernardino for a decade prior to his appointment to the Superior Court bench where he served with great distinction for 30 years.
On March 22, 2006, Mayor Morris was unanimously elected to serve as President of the San Bernardino International Airport Authority Commission as well as Co-Chair of the Inland Valley Development Agency Board.
